Grandma's in the Nude (PAD Day3)

Hello Dearies!
I want to share a lip combo that I've been loving this week.

OCC Lip Tar - Grandma.

Looks very timid in the tube, but is insanley pigmented. Even when applied with lip brush the colour is still too loud for everyday use.
Solution:

Rimmel - Nude Delight.

Nude Delight is a long time favourite of mine, I love mixing it with other lipsticks to mute down colours. I love the "peaches and cream" effect it creates, I'm hooked on it.
What's your favourite Lip combo.

My Favourite Pink Lipsticks

Swatches!!!!

Ysl - Nude Beige

A beautiful neutral pink with a cream finish.

Revlon - Pink Pout
One of my Summer favourites, this is a blue toned matt pink number. Especially pretty with Revlon's Lilac Pastelle layered over the top.

Revlon - Pink in the Afternoon

Beautifully pigmented with a coral base.

N07 - Grace

There's no other way to describe this than a strawberry milkshake for the the lips.

Rimmel - Pink Blush

Another Summer favourite. Blue toned pink with a creamy finish.

Rimmel - Vintage Pink

This Picture doesn't do the colour justice. This lipstick in reality is more plum based, more pigmented and more glossy than this picture.

I hope you all enjoyed this post, let me know if you want to see more like it.

Let me know what your favourite pink lippies are.

February Project Pan Update

The first month of my project pan is successfully over.
I finished
1 - Moisturiser
2 - Colorstay Foundation
3 - Big Shampoo
4 - Ultra Bland Face Cleasnser
5 - Batisste
6 - Eyeko Mascara
7 - NYC Mascara
8 - Eye Make Up Remover
I also used up most of my Lush stash and threw out a bunch of out of date products.
I think I earned my allowance, yay!
I'm kinda proud of myself, but it's a new month and we'll see how I get on. I think next time I'll keep the empties so I can take a picture.
How are you getting on with your projects.

Beauty Wish List

Two Foundations I can't wait to try.

Chintz - I saw this lipstick on Kiera Knightly and have been in love with it ever since.

I got wait listed for this last summer. But I missed their call, so I guess they sold it to the next person who picked up their phone. I'm gonna try again for it this year.
I Lorraine Stanick recommend this quad, I'm in love with the neutral yet smokey possibilities.
Just Because!
Freaking YSL Rouge Volupte in Nude Beige. I also wanted Sensual Silk but it's been discontinued.
Harmony For Eyes 5-colour palette in Tawy. I'm getting this with my Boots points. The LE Spring palette, another Boots Points purchase me thinks.

I know I don't need all three, although that would be nice, I'm happy to settle for one of them.I've been eyeing this up for nearly a year, one day I'll cave in and buy it.
All Time Favorite Mascara! I'ved used many different mascaras but I always end up coming back to this one.
I have used up six products for my Project Pan, but that was mostly lucky timing and Spring cleaning. Let's see what the rest of the month holds.

NOTD: Purple Ash by Models Own

At first I thought the colour was really unusual. Maybe it was the name, maybe it was the glare of fluorescent lights. Either way I had that ‘I must have it feeling and next thing I knew it was in my basket.
I love the colour selection of Models Own nail polish range. It’s a great way to try the new it colour of the season without breaking the piggy open.
As with all Models Owns, it applied smoothly and took only two coats. The only downside is the smell, it reminds me of the cheap Glitzy Glam polishes I used to get when I was 12. So make sure you’re in a ventilated area.

Purple Ash by Models Own £5 from Boots.com
Purple Ash is quite unusual. It turns slightly colours when the light changes. In the bottle it looks like a dirty purple, on the nails it turns into a beautiful ashy purple and in other lights it reminds me of a darker version of Rimmel’s Jungle Princess. Purple Ash is amazing if you love the griege trend but want to change it up a bit.
I’m loving this polish, I think I might have found a new favourite.
What polishes are you loving?

Pixie Jabber

It’s a week into my project and so far so good. I did make one last purchase before I started, just to tide me over.
The No7 Spring collection came in and I fell in love with the lipsticks and they had cream liners. I picked up the black cream liner and both the lipsticks. The lipsticks are called Grace and Brigette and I can only imagine they’re named after Grace Kelly and Brigette Bardot.

No7 Lipsticks Grace and Brigette

N07 Swatches Brigette and Grace.

Grace is one of those ‘my lips, but better’ shades, which, to be honest, I could have passed on as I have have so many shades similar. Brigette however, is an awesome colour. To start with I thought it looked like Viva Glam Gaga, but it’s paler and more milky. Kind of like a strawberry milkshake for the lips.

Quick Pink Comparison
Revlon Pink Pout, Rimmel Pink Blush, No7 Brigette and Viva Glam Gaga.

Quick Pink Comparison Swatches.
Revlon Pink Pout, Rimmel Pink Blush, No7 Brigette and Viva Glam Gaga.

I really want to get back ups of Brigette because it is limited edition and if I use my Boots points I’m technically not cheating the project.
As for the weight management I will start that in March when the warmer weather starts to ease in. Plus I’m going to join the new gym at the Ibis hotel, it’s called Puregym and dosen’t open until March 11th. It’s going to be great, they’re open 24/7 and they have a shloo of classes. I'm really excited. Anna's going to join with me, she going to tenerife in the Summer to don a bikini and she wants to tone up with me.

Anyways enough jabber

Project Pan With A Twist

Anyone who knows me will remember that last year I failed Project Pan many times. I know you’ll probably be wondering why I found it so hard. I mean really, is it that difficult to not buy makeup?
Well, no, it’s not that difficult. I just had bad timing and I’m impatient. Whenever I did PP, a new product would be released that I would desperately want, and in every colour. This probably happened because I knew I wasn’t allowed to buy them and that made me want them more.
So this year I want to do Project Pan with a reward system. I had a look through all the cosmetics and beauty products that I own and I have to admit I own too much and have to do something about it.
The idea behind PP is to pick a certain products and aim to finish them, and you’re not allowed to buy any make up until these products are finished. In theory this is a great plan. However, in order to finish those product, you need to use them everyday and, depending on the amount of product that’s left, you can be stuck using the same products for a long time. The end result is boredom and shiny, new products are tempting.
The version of PP I’ve come up with is a target and reward system. Every month I will aim to use up between 5-10 products and when I reach the targets I get rewards.
The products I aim to use can be anything from moisturiser to nail polish remover, from shampoo to foundation, basically anything in the beauty product or cosmetics category. The reward is an allowance to spend on make up. If I use up 5 products, my reward is £50 and if I use up 10 products, my reward is £100. I don’t have to spend all the allowance or any at all, I can save it and add it to the next month if I want to.
I’m allowed to repurchase beauty products that I’ve used up if I need to, things like shampoo, body scrub, etc. Since make up is what I’m trying to restrict, I’m only allowed to buy cosmetics with the allowance.
Let me know what you guys think of this plan. I’m starting it in February and I’ll keep you guys updated.
